McManus has written several books on U.S. military history, covering a broad span of topics from D-Day to the Iraq War. With all of the investigation accomplished to date, he believes he has gathered enough material to continue writing books for the next thirty years.
The UMRB grant was a short-term investment that paid off in the long run, resulting in several book projects.
