Teaching
In addition to his research in the area of U.S. military history, McManus teaches such courses as “Survey of U.S. History from 1877 to the Present,” “U.S. Military History,” and “Civil War, World War Two, Vietnam, and Americans in Combat.” He says that his teaching and his research go together "like peanut butter and jelly.”
The UMRB grant was a short-term investment that paid off in the long run, resulting in several book projects.
