Grunts
McManus’ current book project, Grunts: The American Infantry Combat Experience, World War II through the Present, covers over sixty years of U.S. military battles and situations. In this work he focuses on the human back-story about what American infantry soldiers faced then and now.
The UMRB grant was a short-term investment that paid off in the long run, resulting in several book projects.
