Using a videotape depicting interpersonal sensitivity, Patterson tracks judgment accuracy in the test participants. Participants are asked to evaluate the nonverbal behaviors of the people featured in the scenes while he measures their judgments with a potentiometer.
I couldn’t do this study on my own. The UMRB grant allowed me to enlist a graduate student research assistant.
