“It was like time travel!”
The histories Londré uncovers while researching have the power to transport readers back in time—without leaving the library. “It was the cheapest kind of travel you can do, but it was real, I was there!” she laughs.
The UMRB grant gave me the time to go to the downtown library and sit there all day, reading newspapers, immersed in the past.
