Tour of the Patricia McIlrath Center for Midwestern Theatre
Named for the founder of the Missouri Repertory Theatre and longtime director of the UMKC theatre department, the Patricia McIlrath Center for Mid-American Theatre holds hundreds of books on the region’s past and current entertainers. Many of Londré’s students use the Center’s resources to write their theses on local history.
The UMRB grant gave me the time to go to the downtown library and sit there all day, reading newspapers, immersed in the past.
