Childhood Discoveries
In his youth, Michael Ohnersorgen spent his summers on his uncle’s ranch in Arizona. “I remember seeing a lot of pottery and arrowheads and things like that on the ground, and as a kid I always thought that was interesting,” he recalls. While studying pre-medicine in college, he came to the conclusion that anthropology was the field he really loved.
The UMRB program shows that the University supports research and makes you feel valued. It fills an important gap when you can’t get federal funding.
