Michael Ohnersorgen works at the Chacalilla archaeological site on the coast of Nayarit, Mexico, studying a phenomenon known as the Aztatlán tradition. Focusing his research on the political and economic aspects of a site known to be a cultural center from roughly 850-900 A.D to 1300-1400 A.D., he is interested in the complex iconography of this tradition.
The UMRB program shows that the University supports research and makes you feel valued. It fills an important gap when you can’t get federal funding.
