Kellogg served as an acting program officer at the National Science Foundation from August 2008-August 2009, while on leave from UMSL. One of the most rewarding parts of that job, she says, was calling young investigators to let them know that “yes, we are going to fund your project.”
The UMRB grant has allowed me to hire a very talented postdoctoral scholar to run the project in the lab.
